#35 Graduate from high school

Alright, I'm playing catch-up out of order, so bear with me now.

One year and one week ago today, I graduated from Barron G. Collier High School. It was a glorious day for me because it not only meant I was finally done with all of the restrictions and awfulness that came with high school, but I was one step closer to going to my #1 choice college, Southern Virginia University. Here's a picture from that awesome day!

#26 Sell a bag of clothes to Plato's Closet

I didn't get a chance to take a picture of the clothes I sold to Plato's Closet before I sold them, so here's a picture of the money they gave me for my clothes instead! Definitely going towards the mission fund. :)

#61 visit a new state and #64 go to a college open house

This is bit embarrassing.... But I had this post originally written out as a draft over a year ago, but totally forgot to post it. My bad, y'all. Anyways, here it is!

This will probably be one of my favorite things on this list that I will complete. I went on a trip to Buena Vista/Lexington, Virginia to go to a college open house at Southern Virginia University. I also had the opportunity to visit Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, which was so great to see! Since the friend that took us was a graduate from SVU, we got to meet most of the professors and got to see the campus in a way that I thought was more personal. It was also my first time in Virginia, so this trip allowed me to kill two birds with one stone (metaphorically, of course).

Here's a shot of me with the SVU Knight!

#6 read at least 20 books outside of school (1/20)

This was the first book I decided to read, & it was so insightful! This book really made me think about things to keep in mind as I end the YSA dating world in a little over 6 months. I highly recommend it!

#82 Get my drivers license

You'd think living in a country (Japan) where you can't get your drivers license until you're 18 would be hard. But it's even more frustrating moving to a state where if you're under the age of 18, you have to wait one year from the time you get your permit to get your license AND you've just turned 16. But the wait was certainly worth it and after 1 year, 1 month and 2 days of waiting, I was finally able to get my drivers license!!

Here's a throwback from the time I got my learner's permit to when I got my driver's license!

#70 Go to a high school football game at my HS

One of my favorite times about starting a new school year at Yokota was going to football games. So when I moved Naples last year, I thought going to football games at my new high school would only add on to the home sickness I was already feeling. But I decided to not be anti-social my senior year and go to more school events, including football games. Now I can definitely say that I've been to a real American football game and I have a little more school spirit! And I'm so glad I got to go with the lovely ladies below. :)

#32 Find and make 30 new homemade recipes, while adding them to a recipe book (02/30)

I'm really excited about learning a new recipe! This time, I made homemade soft pretzels! And for messing up parts of the recipe, they turned out so good!

These are what they looked like before they went in the oven....

...and these are what they looked like after they came out of the oven!

I know. They look really ugly. But I promise, they taste a lot better than they look!

Here's the one that turned out the best though!

Here's the recipe I used: http://www.cookingclassy.com/2012/08/auntie-annes-pretzels-copycat-recipe/

Can't wait to make these again!
